Privacy Policy

This policy covers the AV8 FLY app and av8fly.com, operated by Adam Christopher Christiansen. Contact support@av8fly.com about privacy or your information.

Information you provide

We process account and contact information used to sign in and provide the service; aircraft listings, photos, rental requests, reviews and community submissions you choose to provide; saved planning information; and support requests and attachments. Some pilot, renter and owner workflows may ask for qualification or insurance documents. Upload only information needed for the requested workflow.

Device and aviation tools

Location and motion permissions support tools you choose to use, such as position, speed, heading and supplemental beta displays. Permission can be declined or changed in device Settings. On-device trip notes and preferences are stored on your device. Planning inputs or coordinates needed to obtain weather, route or map data may be sent to our servers and relevant data providers. Sharing an export sends the selected information through the destination you choose. These tools are supplemental and do not replace approved aircraft instruments or official briefings.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases made through Apple's in-app purchase system. We use transaction identifiers, subscription status and an account token to associate verified purchases with your AV8 FLY account. We do not receive your full Apple payment-card details. Eligible website payment flows may use a separate payment provider, which handles payment details under its own privacy policy. Canceling a subscription and requesting deletion of an account are separate actions.

Support and communications

Support collects your email, category, description and optional screenshots. Basic technical diagnostics are optional and disclosed before submission. Screenshots may include sensitive details or embedded metadata; remove these before uploading. Transactional providers deliver account and support updates. Keep private ticket links confidential: anyone holding a private access link can read and reply to that ticket. Marketing newsletters have separate signup and unsubscribe controls.

Service providers, analytics and public content

Hosting, database, identity, storage, email, payment, map, aviation-data and analytics providers process information needed to supply their services. Website analytics and operational logs may include page visits, device/browser details, network information and errors. Public listings, reviews and community photos are visible to other users. External links and embedded sources may receive network/device information and follow their own policies. We do not need your passwords or payment credentials in support messages.

Ace AI guide

Ace is an optional AI guide to AV8 FLY. When you send a chat message, your text and limited conversation history are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Ace receives public site information, not your private account records, purchases or flight logs, and cannot take account or financial actions. Messages stay in page memory and clear on reload; AV8 FLY does not save chat transcripts in its database or storage. Requests disable model response storage where supported. Hashed hourly network counters and a daily count help limit abuse. Do not include passwords, payment details or confidential information. Ace does not verify live flight conditions or replace official briefings, current charts, the aircraft POH/AFM or pilot judgment.

Use and retention

We use information to operate accounts and features, verify access, communicate with you, handle support, understand usage and protect the service. We retain information as needed for those purposes and applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Information you publish, export or share may also be retained by recipients or third-party services.

Your choices and requests

You can change device permissions, unsubscribe from optional marketing, and choose whether to upload or share information. To request access, correction or deletion, contact support@av8fly.com or open Help & Support. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Some records may need to be retained for security, transaction, dispute or legal purposes. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage renewal in your Apple Account's subscription settings.

Security and updates

We use access controls and secure transport for service workflows. No service can promise absolute security. Contact us if you believe your account or information is at risk. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated effective date. AV8 FLY is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Help & Support · Account

Delete your account

Use Delete account and data in Account settings. Deletion removes app data and does not cancel Apple subscriptions. A minimal hashed deletion record prevents old sessions from restoring deleted access. Payment providers and backups retain their own records under their retention policies.
